CGE monitoring aftermath of Paris attacks

The Center for Global Education continues to monitor closely the information being released about the tragic events in Paris on Nov. 13. There were no University of Tulsa students studying abroad in Paris this fall, and we have confirmed that no students were traveling in Paris at the time of the attacks.

Current information about the events and resources for Americans abroad is available from the U.S. Embassy in France. We also encourage students and families to follow major media outlets for the most current information about developments in Paris.

At this time of immense tragedy, the staff in the Center for Global Education send our deepest sympathies to our many friends and colleagues in Paris and in France, and, indeed, all countries affected by this tragic series of events.

International Education Week, an opportunity to celebrate international education and exchange, begins Nov. 16. TU is committed to the tangible benefits of international study, travel and exchange. This week’s events will celebrate cross-cultural encounters, and we hope they will invite reflection on our own understanding of the world and our place in it.
